The Board Receive a Presentation by San Diego County Water Authority Project Engineer Colin Kemper regarding the Lake Murray to Sweetwater Reservoir Transmission Pipeline Relining Project http://www.sdcwa.org/lake-murray-sweetwater-reservoir-pipeline-3-relining-project I know this water line is located along Spring Street, 18 Portals will be accessed to perform the relining of the pipeline along a 4.3 mile route, the pipeline is large, maybe a 48”, I cannot find anything that says the size . Another project that it would have been nice to been given a heads up on, I guess they already had a community forum on this last month at the La Mesa Community Center and Spring Valley Library. Homes, businesses in the area affected should have been contacted (I know Sprouts was concerned). If you missed the community forum and you want to get the scoop, come to our Board Meeting and see the presentation. Item 11. Pdf Page 46. The Board Discuss the San Diego County Water Authority's Resolution Declaring an End to Drought Conditions in San Diego County San Diego County Water Authority Votes that Drought Conditions Are OVER in San Diego County! Who would have thought - my first board meeting as a SDCWA Board Director and I was voting on ending the drought in San Diego County! It was an added item to the agenda on Monday before the Thursday meeting it was a surprise to me, but I did have time to talk to our Board President and General Manager before the meeting to ensure that Helix WD was in a good position and supported the resolution (which Joel Scalzitti and I did). Over 90% at the SDCWA Board supported, but some did abstain, there were no “No” votes. I asked for this item to be on the Helix agenda for discussion, to discuss our current Drought Level 1 status at Helix… Here are some links…just in case you missed it on the news!
